About us
This tattoo shop was established in 2020 by Jesus Ramos. He had a vision to express artistic freedom. Inkologist opened in the midst of covid; it was a rough first year. The shop was able to survive the shutdown because of great clients that kept it afloat. Jesus has chosen his group of artists based on their passion for being true artists, not just tattooists. He sees that their potential is limitless and believes that they are true assets to the shop. They all like different styles, but as a whole, are able to offer a variety of styles with quality work.
When you walk in to this place you will notice the artwork and all the tattoo awards. You’ll notice how there are barn doors and artists stations around the shop. At our front desk you can expect to be asked for your ID for our paperwork so find a comfy spot to fill it out while your artist sets up their station and gets your tattoo design ready! Listen to the jukebox while you wait or play a nice game of pool if you’re not the sittin’ type, that way you can get your wiggles out before it’s time to stay still!
There are plenty of things around the shop to do after you are done getting tattooed! You could walk around 6th street to explore the antique stores for trinkets or vintage clothes. You could find a nice chicken fried steak, Mexican food, or burgers close by as well. In the summer (July) the Route 66 festival is presented to Amarillo filled with vendors and entertainment for tourists and residents alike! In the fall/winter time you’ll push and shove other clients to get through the shop since we all know it’s the very best time to get tattooed!! We can’t wait to create something special for you.
